Our Intermediate Ukulele Course

Join our intensive 4 week Intermediate Ukulele Course to gain further proficiency in your ukulele playing, learn more challenging skills and techniques and become more adept at TAB (melody) playing.

PREREQUISITES?

Our Intermediate Ukulele Course aims to give students greater mastery over their playing and knowledge over the underlying musical concepts that come with being an instrumental player.

The contend covered on this course is a significant step up from foundation level courses such as our 4 week intensive Beginner Ukulele Course. It is highly recommended that you have at least 12 months playing experience to join this course.

In our experience, many "self-taught" students who have been playing for years but have not had any official training of any sort often miss some of the foundation level skills that are assumed knowledge for this course.

If in doubt, get in touch!

WHAT'S COVERED?

This Course will encourage you to develop your ukulele skills as you:

  • Add new strumming and finger picking patterns to your rhythmic toolkit including interesting sound effects such as slapping, chunking and flamenco techniques

  • Expand your chord vocabulary with more complex chords from different chord families

  • Improve your ability to transition more efficiently between chords

  • Develop greater mastery in your coordination and playing technique

  • Expand your tab notation skills for riff (melody) playing

  • Learn how to transpose music into new keys, and

  • Learn how to use a capo to change keys to suit your vocal range and/or the songs you love that weren't written for ukulele :)

COURSE FEES?

The 4 week Intermediate Course fee is $299.

This cost includes 4 x 2 hour lessons plus all course materials including a Course Workbook.

There are no refunds or makeup classes for missed lessons. If there are exceptional circumstances whereby a participant is unable to attend the course for any reason, this situation can be discussed with the teacher and arrangements agreed upon.

Once a course has started, you are not entitled to a refund simply because you changed your mind. If you postpone your enrolment to a future course within 5 days of the start date, or after you have commenced a course, you will incur a $20 administration fee.
